A June 21 visit to the site of the new Portola Middle School under construction on Donal shows work, including removal of brick, on the main building of the old Castro Elementary School. The elementary school was closed to make room for the new Portola. Some buildings, like the main one, are being renovated while others are being torn down and some new ones built.
