Biggest PTA Fundraiser Ever: Yes on 38
I'm excited to raise billions of dollars for our local public schools through Prop 38 in the biggest PTA fundraiser ever! Help Prop 38 win in November by becoming a part of the Yes on 38 movement.
How many hours have you logged raising money for your local school? You and I know that we need more than another raffle or auction to restore the billions that have been cut from our schools. This November 6th get out the vote for Yes on Prop 38 to begin to restore what has been cut so schools can rehire teachers and provide a well-rounded education that includes art, music, gym, sciences, technical education and college preparation.
Prop 38 makes schools a priority again, guaranteeing billions of dollars to local schools based on enrollment, averaging $10 billion annually over twelve years. When Yes on 38 wins, my school Portola Middle School will get $500,327 in additional funding in the first year, which qualifies it as the biggest PTA fundraiser ever!
Proposition 38 asks Californians to contribute something towards the cost of improving our schools because we all share in the benefits better schools will bring to our economy and our community. Prop 38 raises the money to restore school funding by raising rates on income tax after all deductions, using a sliding scale based on the ability to pay, with the wealthiest Californians paying the most.
