The Richmond Art Center began in 1936 when local artist Hazel Salmi walked, biked and rode streetcars throughout Richmond carrying a suitcase filled with art supplies and helped people unleash their inner artist. Inspiration celebrates the work of the Art Center’s current faculty—a talented group of professional artist-instructors who continue to inspire creativity in students of all ages.
