Help Cut Fire Risk in El Cerrito Hillside Natural Area
Help Friends of Five Creeks volunteers remove invasive, fire-prone French broom in El Cerrito's beautiful Hillside Natural Area. Drought adds urgency -- and wrenching out bushes with big orange levers is fun!
No RSVP needed -- just show up! Tools, gloves, snacks, and good company provided. Wear closed-toed shoes with good traction, long pants, and long sleeves. This is not a great work party for kids, due to poison oak.
To get there, from Contra Costa Drive north of Moeser, turn downhill onto Kent Drive. Take the first (and only) right onto Regency Court. Look for the chained entrance to the fire road on the left, downhill side just past the turn. If you come late, walk down the fire road until you find us.
