Project Second Chance, the Contra Costa County library adult literacy program, is offering training for volunteer tutors. Volunteers are needed to help adults who read below a 6th grade level improve reading, writing and spelling skills.Training is on -
- Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 6:30-8:30 pm
- Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 9:00-3:00 pm, and
- Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 9:00-3:00pm.
- All 14 hours are required.
To take the training, you must pre-register. Registration begins on December 12, 2012 and closes when spots are full. Apply online at http://ccclib.org/psc/tutors.html.
Training is at the Pleasant Hill Library. On-going tutorial sessions however, can take place at the library of your choice.
