Sylvia McLaughlin is the co-founder of CESP and Save San Francisco Bay Association (Save the Bay). McLaughlin, the Sierra Club and CESP led the charge to create the Eastshore State Park, which was established in 2006 and runs 8.5 miles along the East Bay shoreline.  On September 28, 2012 the State Park and Recreation Commission voted unanimously to rename the Eastshore State Park the McLaughlin Eastshore State Park after Sylvia McLaughlin. Celebrate the new name and Sylvia’s 96th with CESP and numerous supporters who helped spearhead the campaign for McLaughlin Eastshore State Park.
