The legendary film will be screened in the library’s Community Hall, located at 3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd in Lafayette. Prior to the screening, Artistic Director, Lauren Jonas and Diablo Ballet dancer, Edward Stegge, will present fun facts about the film.

A Pygmalion story set in the world of high fashion, Funny Face (1957) is an irresistible combination of music, style, and star talents. Starring legendary dancer Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn, the movie showcases the choreography of renowned dance maker, Eugene Loring. Astaire plays fashion photographer Dick Avery, who turns a scruffy Greenwich Village intellectual (played by Hepburn) into a supermodel, takes her to romantic Paris, and falls in love with her.
