Black History Celebration

In celebration of Black History month I am pleased to announce the first annual Black History Celebration in the city of Berkeley, on Feb 8th, 2014 at the Berkeley Community theatre from 1-6:30 pm This will be a family friendly event. This event is not your ordinary festival. Besides the great music there will be a cultural side created by the Berkeley Juneteenth Committee , (the same folks that bring you the annual Berkeley Juneteenth event, 2014 to be held on June 15th)  with historical presentations, spoken word, and dance by Akayaa Atule and other surprises. There will also be African food, Carribean Food, Texas BBQ, and other delicious treats. And there will be Vendors with merchandise from Africa and other parts of the world. Face Painting and African Storytelling. The music will be excellent, with Afro beats & original tunes from the world renown Zulu Spear, fantastic Funk and original tunes from AfroFunk Experience, and  R&B-Hip Hop from Kev Choice. And FREE ADMISSION. thanks to the City of Berkeley, Alotoffun Productions, the Juneteenth Committee, and the great organizations  you see listed on the flyer. Tell your friends, this is an event they don't want to miss, help spread the word.
