Berkeley troubadour Steve Taylor-Ramírez plays Off the Grid El Cerrito

Enjoy gourmet food and live, original music from 6-7:30 pm Wed., Nov. 13, when Berkeley songcrafter Steve Taylor-Ramírez brings his originalfolk, Latin and blues to the popular Off the Grid roaming-mobile-food market in El Cerrito.

“With some fresh original uptempo songs, I hope to transform peaceful El Cerrito into 'El Cerritmo' ('ritmo' being Spanish for rhythm),” Taylor-Ramírez said.

Taylor-Ramírez has been named a “Critic's Choice” by the East Bay Express, UC Berkeley and Bay Area News Group. His music, videos, reviews and bio can be found at http://www.reverbnation.com/stevetaylorramirez.

A former guitarist for a gospel band in Oakland, Taylor-Ramírez has brought his bilingual music to a plethora of Bay Area venues and recorded six original songs at Skyline Studios, Oakland. Corey Mason, host of worldOneradio, called the EP "warm, rootsy and genuinely charming" and put it in regular rotation on KECG 88.1 FM, El Cerrito. Dj Nobody of KUSF Radio called it "Lovely … Steve is developing a new musical genre.”
