West County Sky to Light up Tonight for Annual 'Third of July'

If you can’t wait until Thursday to catch an annual fireworks show near you, then Richmond – or somewhere along the East Bay shoreline – is the place to be tonight.

The Fifth Annual Target Independence Day Celebration will feature  music, food and performances by the Hilltop Community Church Choir,  Oaktown Jazz Workshops and Oakland East Bay Symphony. And, of course, fireworks can be seen over the water at Richmond's Craneway Pavilion, 1414 Harbor Way  South.

The free, family-friendly celebration runs from 6:30 to 10 p.m., with the fireworks show set to begin around 9 p.m.
