Weekend Things: El Cerrito's Got Talent, Natural Health, Native Gardens and More

Much is happening in and around El Cerrito and Kensington this weekend: music for young and old, yoga, Chinese medicine, a tour of native gardens and other events.

Here are some options for your weekend pleasure. Check out the calendar for more events for many tastes.

Friday


  • El Cerrito's got talent. Help pay for the senior prom and see 's singers, dancers, magicians, jugglers and other performers show their stuff in front of their peers.

  • Come to the to hear this group of local singers perform a mix of Broadway show tunes, jazz and other popular styles conducted by Tina Harrington.

    • Get ready for summer with this free cycling workshop for the whole family. This Albany event will help you stay safe while riding around town with your kids. There will be skill-building activities, games, a neighborhood bike ride and free red blinking lights for participating kids.

    • This annual tour is a chance for native plant gardeners to show off their gardens, answer questions and talk about their creations. View the numerous gardens, five of which are in El Cerrito, Kensington and Albany.
