My favorite place to practice martial arts is at the Wen Wu School of Martial Arts. I don't see the Wen Wu School listed under Martial Arts Studios and want to cast my vote for them!

I'm sorry you didn't find Wen Wu School on the list. The candidates in the poll were selected by reader nominations. We ran an open nomination period from June 18 through July 9 and invited reader nominations in several articles during that time period. However, no reader nominated Wen Wu School, so it wasn't listed. On the other hand, it seems to me that all good candidates should be included, so I just added it.

I'm disappointed that my Pilates studio, El Cerrito Fitness; Pilates and Personal Training are not listed. I wasnt' aware that there was a readers poll...guess I need to pay closer attention, but it seems to me that all businesses in a category should be included....I'll be ready next time!! Hi June, sorry that El Cerrito Fitness wasn't included. The candidate list was chosen by reader nominations during the open nominations period. We ran several articles during that time inviting reader nominations. One way to make sure you're not missing local information of value to you in the future would be to subscribe to the El Cerrito Patch daily newsletter, which gives you the day's headlines and events: http://elcerrito.patch.com/newsletters.
