Get Out: El Cerrito Edition

Pick up a gift for your sweetie, see a great play, make a Valentine and celebrate business success this weekend.

  • Where/When: Show Place Art Gallery, 1318 10th St., Berkeley. Friday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
    Why Go: Local Etsy.com craftspeople and artists will show off their work at this Berkeley gallery just in time for that last-minute Valentine's Day gift shopping. You may not have made it, but somebody else did!

  • Where/When:
    , 1 Lawson Rd., Kensington. Friday-Saturday, 7 p.m. and Sunday, 3 p.m.
    Why Go: This Pine Hill Theater production lets viewers in on “what happens after happily ever after.” It intertwines several Brothers Grimm tales to see the real outcome of decisions made by some famous storybook characters.
    Pricing: $20 for an individual ticket, $35 for two tickets

    Why Go: If you've enjoyed a hot drink at this independent neighborhood staple, come join the celebration and congratulate Jenny K for seven years and Well Grounded for six years at the location. There will be free gifts with every purchase and a Fire & Light Glass sale, and at the .
    Pricing: Free, but make sure to pick up a cup of tea or coffee.

    Why Go: It's a rare chance to see this classic film about a movie star (Fred Astaire) who turns to Broadway in an attempt to revitalize his career. Of course, it wouldn't be an Astaire movie without dancing.
