Visions for Vacancies: The Village at Town Center

What would you like to see fill the vacancies at The Village at Town Center?

The Village at Town Center is a mixed-use building on San Pablo Ave. and Schmidt Lane. There are two vacant retail spaces and we would like to know what you would like to see here.

This building has 158 apartments above it and retail on the ground floor. One current tenant is Sylvan Learning Center. There was a Quiznos at this location but it closed three years ago.

I spoke with the broker and he recognizes the problem with this space is there isn’t an anchor tenant to provide foot traffic. The business could primarily serve residents living in the apartments above and the homes between Moeser and Potrero. The former Quiznos space has about 1500 square feet and since it was a Quiznos before it could easily be set up for something like a coffee shop, deli, sandwich shop, or other type of light-food use. However, it should be possible to convert it to anything.
