The Albany Little League, some 700 girls and boys and East Bay family
restaurant, the Kensington Circus Pub, announce that they are establishing a Player Of The Week award.

The recipients of the award will receive a free dinner at the Circus Pub as well as a certificate of achievement.

“We want to reward children for stepping away from the TV, computer and video screens and getting out to play,” said Scott McFadin, Managing Partner of the Kensington Circus Pub. “With one-in-three California children ages 9-11 years old, at risk of or already overweight, it is more important than ever to encourage kids to exercise as a part of their everyday lives."

For each lucky ball player, the reward for stepping up to bat means a free meal.

To the Kensington Circus Pub, that means 700 kids to feed this baseball season.
