Fall Fruits and Colors Come to Kensington Farmers' Market

The Kensington Farmers' Market was a good place to fnd fresh fall fruit Sunday, as shown in these photos by Soren Hemmila.

The changing seasons were visible Sunday at the at Colusa Circle, where cool season crops like broccoli and cauliflower share table space with the last of summer's heirloom tomatoes.

Plums peaches and pears were to be had in great abundance, with Brentwood's Frog Hollow Farm offering the greatest number of pears. The farm's fresh fruit offering included Taylor's Gold pears, Warren pears and Hosui asian pears, also known as "apple pears."

The Kensington Farmers' Market is located on Oak View Avenue next to the Colusa Circle and is held Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
