Passing Down Cultural Tradition: Youth Perform Japanese Dance

A scene from the bazaar Sunday at Sycamore Congregational Church.

Bunka (Japanese culture) camp students perform yesterday at the annual Sycamore Congregational Church bazaar in El Cerrito. Overcast skies and a threat of rain didn't stop hundreds from throughout the Bay Area from turning out for fun, food and festivities. Now in its sixth year, the summertime Bunka camp at Sycamore teaches students about Japanese language and culture.
