Windrush Fourth Annual Harvest Fair

Pumpkins, dragons, and pirates, oh my! You won't want to miss Windrush School’s fourth annual Harvest Fair on Sunday, October 16th, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The school is raising $900,000 in emergency funding to keep its doors open through June 2012. All funds raised at the Harvest Fair will help Windrush School in its efforts to continue operations. 

Both kids and adults will have a blast! Start decorating your home for Halloween and pick a pumpkin at the Windrush Pumpkin Patch. Grab a cold beer with your friends at the Beer and Wine Garden. Have your fortune told by the mysterious genie, Becca.  Kids will find oodles of glittering pirate’s treasure digging around the Sunken Ship and get their faces painted in the Enchanted Kingdom. Win a prize playing a carnival game or try your luck in the wine raffle. If your tummy starts to grumble, enjoy some tasty treats from local food truck vendors, including Breads of India (www.breadsofindia.com) and Boffo Cart, while listening to live performances by The Vanilla Extract (www.thevanillaextract.com) and Windrush alumni, Benny Bock and Ethan Zeitman. If the music makes you want to boogie, you can participate in the hula hoop contest led by Hoop Therapy (http://www.robynshoops.com/), the free Zumba class, or join a Flash Mob dance performance!
