This performance includes Old and New World music from the transition when Jews came to America at the beginning of the 20th C. Tunes include Yiddish theater and radio and vocals made popular by the Barry Sisters, queens of 1940’s Yiddish Swing.
This Folk Band are pioneers in the revival of klezmer and Eastern European Jewish music. They have featured in concerts, festivals, cafes, and private celebrations. This Band has been honored with awards from cities of Berkeley, Albany, and Alameda.
