Scout Surge 9/11 – New York Says Thank You

Boy Scouts across the United States are participating in "Scout Surge 9/11, with service projects and events to commemorate the tragedy of 9/11.   

Locally, El Cerrito Pack 104 is hosting a no-charge screening of the new film, New York Says Thank You, Sunday, Sept 11 at 3:30 PM, at the beautiful Camp Herms Boy Scout lodge.

This documentary is a call to volunteerism, which highlights service projects inspired by 9/11.  Started at the suggestion of a young boy, The New York Says Thank You Foundation is transforming the 9/11 Anniversary into a positive, hands-on platform for national volunteer service.  Watch the trailer. 

A fundraising spaghetti dinner will follow the film for anyone interested in staying (6-8PM)  $10/pp.  . 

Please come see this inspirational movie. Everyone is welcome, and very welcome to stay for dinner!  Especially reecommended for Solano stroll attendees, who just want to sit and reflect on the day and our community, and not cook!
