Walking Tour Of El Cerrito Set For Sunday Afternoon
City officials will hear suggestions on transportation and environmental policies during the 3-mile excursion
You can get some exercise and have some input on city policies during a walking tour of El Cerrito this weekend.
The 3-mile walk begins at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Canyon Trail Park Art Center, 6757 Gatto Ave. It's expected to last until about 4 p.m.
Walkers will be able to express concerns about areas such as San Pablo Avenue and the Ohlone Greenway as well as overall transportation policy.
They'll also be able to make suggestions on walking paths, bicycle trails and environmental programs in the city.
Walkers are advised to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water as well as a hat and sunscreen.
