Coming Up: Rotary Wine Tasting Fundraiser for Foster Youth
The El Cerrito's Third Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser on Oct. 21 will benefit foster youth. The festive event features California vintners, as well as artisan chocolate and cheese, at Mira Vista Golf & Country Club. Tickets can be ordered now.

Wanted to alert El Cerrito residents to our 3rd Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser to benefit foster youth. The last two events were very festive with 175 guests enjoying the view and ambience of the Mira Vista Country Club. This year we are proud to be partnering with an exceptional organization called “Foster A Dream” which helps foster children survive, thrive and realize their dreams.
Foster A Dream is a 10-year-old Bay Area organization focused on supporting and transforming the lives of foster youth. As you may be aware foster youth face many hurtles, the biggest of which might be financial emancipation at age 18. Foster A Dream focuses on three key areas: meeting critical needs, providing life skills and honoring dreams/celebrations. For example, through their partnership with Sleep Train, Foster a Dream provides clothing, shoes and backpacks to hundreds of local youth.

Unique programs like “Get Set,” Dare to Dream Scholarships and mentor programs guide youth to set goals and follow through. Finally, holiday celebrations and the Adopt-a-Dream program help foster youth experience the rituals and fun of childhood celebrations like other kids.
