“In just one year, we have more than tripled the number of seniors graduating from our school,” said Amy Hunt, site administrator at California Connections Academy @ Ripon. “We’re extremely proud of our seniors’ accomplishments and are confident they will enter the next phase of their lives with a solid educational foundation.”

California Connections Academy, which opened in August 2012, offers students an innovative, flexible and individualized learning environment. The school’s state-credentialed teachers work with each student to develop a personalized learning plan based on his or her strengths and individual education needs, while adhering to rigorous state education standards. In addition to a high-quality curriculum, students socialize through various school-sponsored events and field trips, clubs and activities and LiveLesson® sessions—live instruction conducted online.

California Connections Academy’s juniors and seniors benefit from the school’s flexibility while exploring and applying to college. Many students adjust their schedules to accommodate SAT studying and college visits or interviews. Throughout the last year, the school organized field trips to various higher education institutions for students of all ages, including Stanford University; California State University, Sacramento; and University of the Pacific. Students can also take advantage of California Connections Academy’s diverse course catalogue, which includes a robust selection of AP courses, music courses through Juilliard eLearning, and a selection of Career Technical Education (CTE) courses such as Java Programming and Business Law.
