$85.00

The 2012 Spring session of “10 and Under” Junior tennis (formerly QuickStart) in El Cerrito will be held this year beginning March 26 – May 20th

Registration begins February 1-29th .  The registration form can be found at http://www.ectennis.org.  The program consists of 1 hour/week practices during after school hours anywhere from 3pm-6pm and 1½ hrs on Sunday afternoon for matches.  The cost of the program is $85/child which will pay for membership in the USTA, a t-shirt, awards and a potluck at the season’s end. Practice times/dates have not been finalized at this time but we ask that you specify day/time you would prefer on the registration form. If the finalized times do not fit into your schedule your registration form/money will be returned to you.

Applications can be either dropped off at the El Cerrito Community Center, 7007 Moeser Lane, EC or sent to the address provided in the registration form. The first 10 ‘new’ registrants will receive a free racquet.

As you know, to make this program work requires the generosity of many volunteers, parents and community members alike.  Please consider being a volunteer to make all sessions viable.  To assist all of our volunteers we will provide a volunteer/coaching training session on Saturday March 3, 2012 from 9:00am – 12:00pm at Cerrito Vista courts in El Cerrito.  A USTA professional trainer will provide activities and drills for anyone wanting to assist their child in learning tennis.  All are invited to attend.  Please register with Margo Takemiya for this training.

More About Cerrito Vista Park

Cerrito Vista Park

Cerrito Vista Park

950 Pomona Ave, El Cerrito, CA

Cerrito Vista Park is a hub for many events because of its central location and large amount of space, making it ideal for fairs and other activities. There are two playgrounds; one is a smaller playground and the other a large one with a jungle gym and slides. In the upper part of the park there is a green field with picnic benches and a grill. Climb even higher and you will find the tennis courts along Avis Street. There are plenty of shady spots here to sit and watch the world go by. A trail is available for runners.
