There are two separate tennis courts here as well as a basketball court with two hoops. A large duck pond has a walking trail circling it. Two modern playgrounds are equipped with swings for large and small children and an innovative cushioned floor surface for safety. On the weekends the park is filled with families barbecuing or hosting birthday parties in the park. Summer camps are hosted by the clubhouse during the summer months.

There are mini hiking trails that can be explored in many different directions, blackberry bushes are abundant in the summer and there are two tennis courts and a small playground. A couple of large, grassy fields are available for various games such as tag, kickball and hide and seek. Benches and tables are spread through out the park near the playground, tennis courts and grilling area. An art studio is located in this park offering acrylic and water color classes at various times of the year.

There is a baseball field and tennis courts as well as grilling stations for summer barbecues. The clubhouse hosts summer camps and other events throughout the year; they're available through the El Cerrito Community Center.

Climb even higher and you will find the tennis courts along Avis Street. There are plenty of shady spots here to sit and watch the world go by. A trail is available for runners.

Harding Elementary has partnered with Harding Clubhouse through the City of El Cerrito to provide childcare services for residents during the school year. Summer camps are also hosted here.
  • Huber Park

    Huber Park is a rare gem tucked away in the El Cerrito Hills off Terrace Drive. The park was built into the side of theMore hill with multi-layered play areas. The equipment is still as sturdy as the day it was built. There is a hefty slide, an old-fashioned jungle gym, a swing set and a concrete castle located on one sandy level of the park. On the lower level is a kickball and basketball court surrounded by cobblestone. Different tiers of the park have either wooden or stone park benches. There is an impressive fire pit and two designated grills with room underneath them for large fires. Trees shield the location from the sun. A path leads up into the neighborhood above the park and follows the park through to the neighborhood directly below it.
  • Ohlone Greenway

    The Ohlone Greenway is a scenic path that runs underneath the BART tracks along the length of El Cerrito. This is aMore multiuse bicycle and pedestrian trail that covers 2.7 miles in El Cerrito before passing into Albany and on through Berkeley. You will find many runners, joggers, walkers and bicyclists enjoying these paths. The trail features some exercise equipment at various points including pull-up bars and dip bars. You'll also find playgrounds at various points. There are many different varieties of trees and plants located within the park. Notice the markers at various points explaining the type of tree and where it originated from, such as the Chinese hackberry tree, strawberry tree and Norway maple located near the intersection of Potrero and Lexington.

    Poinsett Park is a small park tucked away in the middle of a residential neighborhood near Barrett Avenue. The park isMore similar to El Cerrito's Huber Park in that it has multiple tiers built into the hill it is located on. On the bottom tier there is a basketball court with four hoops. The basketball area is multi-use and can be used for kickball as well. On the second tier there is a small bathroom facility and a modern plastic playground. Above the playground on the third tier there is a small grassy field shielded by trees.
