Honors for El Cerrito Collegians
We're happy to pass along two news releases we've just received about two college students from El Cerrito making the dean's list, one at Cornell and the other at Beloit.
Congratulations to El Cerrito college students Amelia (Emma) Ammirati and Martin Reimer for making the dean's list at Beloit College and Cornell University respectively.
We realize that there may well be other college students from El Cerrito and Kensington who have received honors recently, but we're giving special attention to these two because El Cerrito Patch received news releases about them this past week. The releases can be found below.
We earlier noted an honor for El Cerritan Richard Sobrero, awarded a Gold Star from The Citadel for academic achievement. And we received another news release announcing that Sudarshan Ghimire of El Cerrito graduated last month from Southeast Missouri State University with a master of science degree in industrial management.
If you know of any college students with honors or distinguished accomplishments, please feel free to let us know. It doesn't have to be just college students – it could be high schoolers or anyone else from our area.
One easy way to spread the word is to post an announcement directly onto Patch. Just go to the "Announce something to everyone" link on the lower right of our homepage. If you like, you can also add a photo, a flyer (in PDF format) or some other illustration since it helps make the announcement more noticeable.
Here are the two releases we received:
